Avi has nearly 20 years’ experience in medical device, diagnostics, and healthcare related industries with roles spanning product development, sales, operations, and general management. He most recently lead the formation of the Porex Life Sciences Institute which is currently focused on democratizing access to saliva based diagnostics by improving the saliva collection and processing workflows.

Dr. McGlennen is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He has published more than 70 scientific articles and book chapters and is the editor of five journals. He holds 9 issued and pending patents. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and also by the American Board of Medical Genetics, with a Specialty in Clinical Molecular Genetics.

Josh is a global scientific affairs executive and innovation leader in Diagnostics and is considered a subject matter expert in assay development and solid phase chemistry. He is the inventor of VeraPrep™ which uses proprietary nanoparticles to reduce the effects of assay interferences and for the enrichment and multiplex detection of low abundance biomarkers. Over the past 20 years he has held a variety of research, medical & scientific affairs and leadership roles for Roche, Anteo Technologies, DiaSorin, and Beckman Coulter.
